Kirribilli Markets

The iconic Kirribilli Markets began on January 21st, 1976, in the backyard of what is now the recently opened Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre. Today, it has grown to become one of Sydney’s oldest and most popular markets.

Overall, it hosts 220 stalls selling new and pre-loved fashion and accessories and labels from emerging local fashion designers. In addition, it also offers a superb selection of arts and crafts, home and giftwares, plants, jewellery and gourmet foods.

The market will run from 8.30 am to 3 pm on the 10th and 16th of December. Notably, all of its profits will go towards funding programs the Kirribilli Centre runs.


The Very Merry Southern Christmas Market

Get ready to immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit at the bright and cheerful Merry Christmas Markets in Southern Sydney on December 16th and 17th.

The markets will be held at the Southern Districts Rugby Club in Sylvania Waters and will feature an array of food trucks, gift shops, and food offerings. Don't forget to bring your camera, as Santa will be making a guest appearance for photo opportunities.

Sydney Fish Market 36-Hour Seafood Marathon

The well-known 36-Hour Seafood Marathon at the Sydney Fish Market is back for another year. Their retailers will be open for a continuous, 36-hour period from 5:00 am on Thursday, December 23rd, until 5:00 pm on Christmas Eve.

This Christmas tradition has been going strong for over two decades. It is an excellent opportunity for Sydneysiders to get their hands on premium, locally caught seafood and fresh produce. As well as being a haven for prawns, oysters, scallops, and other seafood delights, it offers many other products such as meat and vegetables, deli and bakery items, gifts, and beverages.


Sydney Made Art & Design Markets

The ‘Sydney Made Art & Design Markets provides a unique opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas shopping.

This one-day-only mega market returns on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 10 am to 5 pm at the stunning Town Hall. It provides you with an excellent platform to browse through art and design treasures made by over 75 talented and skilled Sydney locals. 

Throughout the eclectic mix of stalls, you will find a variety of curated wares, including everything from natural skincare, slow fashion and ceramics to photography, jewellery and art pieces. In addition to the art and design treasures, you can also enjoy live music acts throughout the day. 

The best part? Entry is by donation - which will go towards supporting an entirely volunteer-run community event.


Le Jolly Christmas Market

One of the most popular Christmas markets in Sydney is Le Jolly Market. Running for eight nights between the 15th and 22nd of December, the market comprises 40 vendors and five wine bars.

Shoppers can expect artisanal, locally-sourced products, quaint wooden huts, and a genuine Christmas ambience that will transport them to Europe. Additionally, the market will offer delicious food options like lobster rolls, pasta dished out in a cheese wheel and other melted cheese dishes. 

The night market is located in the central area of Customs House and is decorated with twinkly Christmas lights. It also offers a variety of holiday treats for everyone to enjoy. 


Sydney Vegan Market

On Sunday, December 17, the Entertainment Quarter will host a special edition of their monthly vegan markets from 9 am to 4 pm to celebrate the run-up until Christmas.

At the event, shoppers can browse various plant-based and cruelty-free stalls featuring art, homewares and food. There will also be free yoga classes, live music, a kids' tent and other forms of entertainment to enjoy. 

Entry to the event is free, and plenty of parking is available in the surrounding area. Be aware that the market gets busy, so it is best to get there early to secure a spot.


Woollahra Village Christmas Fair

If a fairytale village, inhabited exclusively by chefs and artisans, were to host a Christmas market, it would probably resemble the Woollahra Village Christmas Fair.

This festive season, Sydney's charming suburb of Woollahra is embracing its village-style ambience with its first-ever Christmas fair at the Woollahra Hotel on Thursday, November 30th. The inaugural event brings together over 20 local businesses, each offering their own range of appropriately upscale Christmas treats.

The lineup of stallholders features Woollahra heavyweights, including the upscale butcher Victor Churchill, the artisan Providore Simon Johnson, and the eating institution Bistro Moncur. It is sure to be a fabulous event!


Artisan Christmas Market Glebe

Are you looking for a way to support your local community this Christmas? The Artisans Market in Glebe is a fabulous non-profit association that provides a platform for local designers and makers to showcase their craft.

The event features many artisanal stalls offering handmade products such as clothes, homewares and jewellery. It's an excellent opportunity to find unique gifts while supporting local businesses.

Mosman Christmas Night Market

Experience the holiday spirit after sunset at the Mosman Christmas Night Market. This North Shore market promises loads of food, entertainment and, most importantly, Christmas shopping. So why not head there between December 7, from 4.30 pm to 9 pm, for an evening of fun?

Browsing the stalls, you should be able to find the perfect Christmas gift - whether that be homewares, clothing, Fair Trade items, jewellery, plants or baked goods.

You can also indulge in gourmet food, enjoy a licensed area, and watch live performances. The Mosman Christmas Night Market is a family-friendly event, and everyone is welcome.


The Finders Keepers

Finders Keepers is one of the most well-known Christmas Markets in Sydney, and this December, it's returning to The Hordern Pavilion from December 8th to 10th for another year.

The market is celebrating its 15th year with over 170 stalls selling various products such as ceramics, food, art, fashion and jewellery. It will be open from 4 pm to 9 pm on Friday, December 8th and from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The entry fee is $6 per day for adults, while kids under the age of 13 can enter for free. Try to be there around 6 pm when the market is in full swing if you can.


Martin Place Christmas Market

The Martin Place Christmas Markets will return this year after a successful run in the previous year. The markets will be open from November 24th to 26th (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until December 23rd from 11 am to 8 pm. You can expect plenty of festive products, homewares, gifts and delicious hot food at the market stalls. Furthermore, there will be live music to enjoy while you shop. St Ives Christmas Market

The St Ives Christmas Market was such a success last year, it is back on the North Shore for two days only - so don't miss out!

This relatively new market will take place between 10 am and 3 pm on the 9th and 10 of December in a new location in the stunning Ku-ring-gai council zone. It comprises an artisan and hand-made pavilion, outdoor stalls, a boutique indoor pavilion, gourmet food trucks and plenty more - with visitors able to buy everything from delicious food and jewellery to fashion and artwork.

There's also a super fun St Ives Playground to enjoy at the Showground that kids are sure to love! This year's event is promising to be even busier than last year's. So it is worth getting there early to find yourself a good parking spot!
